streets , in accordance with Plan No. 9303 , be approved; and the
Director of Public Works/Cite Engineer be authorized to advertise
for bids.

CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
Plans for application of rubberized chip seal to various
streets have been prepared, and the project is ready to be
advertised for bids. The project consists, in general, of
applying rubberized chip seal to the streets listed below:

2 "L" Street 5th St. to Base Line Street
3 13th Street "H" St. to "E" Street
4 "H" Street Base Line -St. to 13th St.
5 Rialto Avenue "I" St. to "E" St.
6 "I" Street Mill St. to 3rd St.
7 Orange Show Rd. I-215 to "E" Street
8 Central Avenue Arrowhead Ave. to Tippecanoe
9 Hospitality Lane "E" St. to Waterman Avenue
10 San Bernardino Avenue Tippecanoe Ave.to Richardson St.
11 Sterling Avenue Lynwood Dr. to Marshall Blvd.
The above list of streets to be chip sealed was developed in
conjunction with the Department of Public Services .
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 462 , 600
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1520) 23 , 130
Sub-Total $ 485 , 730
Contingencies (3%) ± 14 , 270
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 500 , 000
All costs incurred for this project will be financed from
the $500 ,000 allocated in the 1995/96 Gas Tax Budget, under
Account No. 126-369-5504-1520 .
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
