Synopsis of Previous Commission/Council/Committee Action:
June, 1995 - Allocation of $80 ,000 , in 1995/96 Community Develop-
ment Block Grant Program, approved.

Recommended Motion:
That the plans for re-roofing the YWCA Swimming Pool Building, in
accordance with Plan No. 9446 , be approved; and the Director of
Public Works/City Engineer be authorized to advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Approval of Plans and
Authorization to Advertise for Bids
Re-roofing YWCA Swimming Pool Building
Plans have been prepared for re-roofing the YWCA Swimming Pool
Building, and the project is ready to be advertised for bids.
The project consists , in general, of removing the existing
roofing material , asbestos insulation and sheating, and in-
stalling marine plywood and new roofing material.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 65 ,000
Construction Engineering (W.O. # ) 2,500
Sub-Total $ 67,500
Contingencies (15%) ± 10 ,500
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 78 ,000
An amount of $80 , 000 has been allocated in the 1995/96 Community
Development Block Grant Program, under Account No. 806-61 , to
finance the costs that will be incurred for this project.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization granted
to advertise for bids.
