Synopsis of Previous Council action:
Recommended motion:
That the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be authorized to proceed with the sale
of that certain land located at the Southeast corner of Olive Avenue and Ohio Avenue,
which is hereby declared surplus and to do all things necessary according to
established procedures incidental to the sale of said property and authorizing payment
to Edward G. Hill & Associates for appraisal services not to exceed $3,500.

STAFF REPORT
The City acquired this property through a judicial foreclosure sale, due to
delinquent payments for Assessment District No. 995 (Verdemont Community
Facilities District) .
The property is a 10.49 acre of vacant land located at the Southeast corner of
Ohio Avenue and Olive Avenue.
All City departments will be notified of the proposed sale and solicited for
comments regarding any proposed future use by the City. If no requests are
received, the sale of the property may proceed.
The property must be appraised and a fair market value determined prior to
advertising for bids for the sale of this parcel. We recommend that the services
of Edward G. Hill & Associates for retained for the appraisal. This firm has had
favorable experience with the City in the past. The fee for the appraisal will
not exceed $3,500. Any requests from any City department for the retention of
this property will be presented for a determination, prior to the ordering of the
appraisal.
We recommend that authorization to proceed with the proposed sale be given.
