Af /7 CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT Plans for relocation of child care equipment at the Child Care Center on forr_1er Norton A .F.B have been prepared pursuant to a letter from William L Bopf Executive Director dated 7, 16- 95 and the project is ready to be advertised for bids The project consists in general of installing chain _link fence re locating existing playground equipment and placing sand in the play area Below is an estimate of the total project cost Construction Contract $ 13 ,676 Engineering & Inspection (W 0 #1993) 1 , 368 Sub-Total $ 15 , 044 Contingencies (15%) ± 2 ,256 TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 17 , 300 All costs incurred for this project will be charged to Account No. 242 362 5504-199x3 and billed to IVDA Funding for these improvements will be provided from the grant by the Federal Economic Development Administration (75%) , and the Inland Valley Development Agency (25%) . We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization granted to advertise for bids. 1-11-96
