CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
A petition has been received by this office requesting the formation of an assessment
district for the construction of sidewalk, masonry walls and the installation of
landscaping along portions of Northpark Boulevard, portions of Mountain Drive and
portions of Hill Drive within Tract No. 14448. The construction of these improvements
are a requirement of the development of this tract. The signatures affixed to the
referenced petition have been checked and found to represent the owners of 100 percent
of the area of the property lying within the proposed boundaries of the district to be
assessed for the proposed construction.
The developer will be required to deposit the cost of the proceedings, which is
estimated to be $4,000.
It is proposed that the developer will advance the necessary funds for the
construction of these improvements, which is estimated to be $250,000, and will be
reimbursed through assessments. The terms and interest rate are to be determined.
Upon receiving authorization to proceed, an Engineer's Report will be prepared, which
will set forth the details of the improvements to be constructed and the financing
details.
Staff recommends that authorization be given.
