Synopsis of Previous Council action: 01-22-96 Resolution No. 96-16 was adopted, approving Tract No. 14448 5:r Recommended motion: That the City Engineer and City Clerk are authorized to proceed with initiating proceedings for the establishment of an assessment district under the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code and that the City Engineer is directed to prepare an Engineer's Report for the proposed -construction of sidewalk, masonry walls and landscaping along portions of Northpark Boulevard, Mountain Drive and Hill Drive within Tract No. 14448. Description) Finance: Council Notes: 3/06 �c noco LlnonrJn I+nm AL. •� � - r, CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT A petition has been received by this office requesting the formation of an assessment district for the construction of sidewalk, masonry walls and the installation of landscaping along portions of Northpark Boulevard, portions of Mountain Drive and portions of Hill Drive within Tract No. 14448. The construction of these improvements are a requirement of the development of this tract. The signatures affixed to the referenced petition have been checked and found to represent the owners of 100 percent of the area of the property lying within the proposed boundaries of the district to be assessed for the proposed construction. The developer will be required to deposit the cost of the proceedings, which is estimated to be $4,000. It is proposed that the developer will advance the necessary funds for the construction of these improvements, which is estimated to be $250,000, and will be reimbursed through assessments. The terms and interest rate are to be determined. Upon receiving authorization to proceed, an Engineer's Report will be prepared, which will set forth the details of the improvements to be constructed and the financing details.
