LEGISLATIVE REVIEW COMMITTEE
November 9, 1995
ATTENDEES:
Councilman Eddie Negrete
Councilman David Oberhelman
Fred Wilson - Assistant City Administrator
Henry Empeno - Deputy City Attorney
Phil Arvizo - Council Executive Assistant
1. CITY'S PARTICIPATION IN CLASS ACTION SUIT - The Committee
recommended tabling this item. The feeling was that the City would jeopardize the
General Fund because of the deep pockets position possibilities. Attorney Henry Empeno
noted that the City already has a nuisance abatement provision and can join in a lawsuit
on a case by case basis.
