STAFF REPORT
On May 16, 1995, the Cemetery Department reviewed price comparisons on burial
fees in the privately owned and other municipal cemeteries in our area. The
proposed increase will generate an additional $20,000 in revenues.
Listed below are the least expensive burials at other local cemeteries:

1 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING A SCHEDULE OF
CHARGES FOR THE SALE OF MATERIALS AND SERVICES BY THE CEMETERY OF SAID
2 CITY, AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 94-91 AND ALL SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS
THERETO.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

6 SECTION 1 . The costs to be charged for Endowment Care Grave
Spaces are hereby established as follows:

8 Grave Spaces - Adult $ 900.00
9 Grave Spaces - Adult - Public Guardian $ 650.00
10 Grave Spaces - Children (2-7 years) $ 400.00
11 Grave Spaces - Infants (under 2 years) $ 115.00
12 Grave Spaces - Cremations $ 115.00
SECTION 2. Charges for interments and disinterments are hereby

2 SECTION 3. Cemetery operating hours are hereby established as
follows:

4 Monday through Friday, except City established Holidays
8:00 a.m, to 4:30 p.m.

6 All interment services on Saturday shall be scheduled so that
7 mourners will be out of the cemetery by 11 :30 a.m.
8 A $200.00 cash deposit shall be required in advance for all weekday
9 (Monday through Friday) afternoon and Saturday interments. If the interment
10 service is over and mourners are out of the cemetery by 4:00 p.m. on weekdays
11 or by 11 :30 a.m. on Saturdays, the deposit will be refunded. An additional
12 charge of $200.00 per hour will be levied for each hour or fraction thereof
13 after 4:00 p.m. on weekdays or after 11 :30 a.m, on Saturdays that interment
14 services are not concluded, or mourners are not out of the cemetery. The
15 $200.00 deposit shall apply to that charge.
16 SECTION 4. Costs for concrete one piece domed liners, without
17 bottoms, and concrete burial vaults are hereby established as follows:

15 SECTION 9. Resolution No. 94-91 and all subsequent amendments
thereto, are hereby repealed.

17 SECTION 10. The Cemetery is hereby authorized to accept a minimum
of $500.00 for a complete interment from the Public Administrator's or

Public Guardian's Office.

20 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the May and Common Council of the City of Sam Bernardino at a
