CITY OF SAN BERNA DINO - REQUEST FC ' COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
The proposed purchase is for the recaulking and washing exterior glass of City Hall ,
to be utilized by the Facilities Management Division.
City Hall was built in 1970 using an aluminum mullion and glass exterior design.
The windows are held in place with a nylon extrusion that created a waterproof
membrane where the glass and aluminum meet. This extrusion is now worn out,
creating leaks at multiple points on the building. This project will remove the
extrusion and caulk the windows in place using a 20 year warranted silicone caulk.
Appropriate specifications were prepared, published and furnished to area suppliers.
Bids were publicly opened and declared on September 19, 1995
The following is a summary of bids received:

American Building Maintenance No Bid
Metro Building Maintenance Co. No Bid
Inland Empire Glass No Bid
Specifications as bid have been reviewed by Facilities Management and the Purchasing
Agent, who concur that Metal Maintenance Inc. meets specifications and requirements.
It is therefore recommended that the bid be accepted for contract.
