STAFF REPORT
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE SAN BERNARDINO CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL
DISTRICT RELATING TO THE DELIVERY OF TYPE A
LUNCHES TO LUNCH SITES.
The City has sponsored a USDA lunch program for 19 consecutive years. This past Spring, the
Summer Lunch Program was expanded to provide lunches to off-track children at the city
community centers.
This agreement extends the year-round program, again accommodating children who are off
track at year-round schools. The city's seven community centers and the neighborhood center
associated with the Emmerton school partnership will be targeted. It is estimated that 18,000
meals will be served to needy youth ages 1-18 years between January 2, 1996 and June 30,
1996.
