Motion: Adopt the Resolution.
Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
The MCC approved the FY 2015-16 in June 2015, including the City Clerk's Department
budget of$2,023,711.
Of that budget, $750,000 was dedicated to the Elections Program, including the costs of
running the elections and service contracts.
Background:
As a result of the City of San Bernardino's bankruptcy protection filing in August 2012,
the San Bernardino County Elections Office has required prepayment of costs
associated with your jurisdiction for the November 3, 2015 Consolidated Election.
The amount billed is an estimate of election costs based on historical costs for
comparable elections. The actual cost may be higher or lower than the estimate
provided. Once the election is complete, the Elections Office will reconcile the difference
between the actual cost and the pre-paid amount, and will provide either a refund or a
final invoice to the City at that time.
