Gosney Construction for the low bid price of
$17 ,500 .00 .
Recommended motion:
1 . That Change Order No . One to the contract with Gosney
Construction for installation of sidewalk along Mt .
Vernon Avenue per Plan No . 7214 , be approved ; authorizing
the Contractor to remove & replace 196 sq . ft . of existing
sidewalk for a net increase in the contract price of
$980 .00 , from $17 ,500 . 00 to $18 ,480 . 00 .
2 . That the work be approved & accepted and that final
payment be authorized at the expiration f the lien period .

STAFF REPORT
This contract covers the fill - in of parkway areas along
Mt . Vernon Avenue . During construction , it was determined that
portions of the existing sidewalk had deteriorated and would not
align with the new construction .
Change Order No . One will authorize the Contractor to re-
move and replace 196 sq . ft . of existing concrete sidewalk for
the unit price of $5 . 00/sq . ft . , for an increase in the contract
price of $980 .00 , from $17 , 500 .00 to $18 ,480 . 00 . This project
includes $2 ,800 .00 in contingencies , which can be used to finance
this extra work . We recommend that Change Order No . One be
approved .
All work under this contract was satisfactorily completed
as of 1-20-88 . The project was awarded for the low bid price of
$17 , 500 . 00 . Change Order No . One will increase the contract
price by $980 . 00 .
The actual final contract price is $18 ,480 . 00 , due to
Change Order No . One .
We recommend that the work be approved and accepted and
that final payment be authorized at the expiration of the lien
period .
