CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
The California Highway Patrol requires the receipt of a resolution adopted
by the Mayor and Council authorizing the Chief of Police to enter into training
agreements with respect to the use of California Highway Patrol Training Facilities.
Said resolution must be on file prior to participation in any training program.
An example of such use is the motorcycle training class to be held November 7-17,
1988 in Sacramento. Each police officer attending pays for instruction, room and
meals which is reimbursable through P.O.S.T.
It is the recommendation of this department that the attached resolution be
adopted. Adoption of this resolution will allow our police personnel to attend
training programs from time to time and will provide the required documentation
for the California Highway Patrol accounting office.
