She completed her elementary school training at Burbank and from there, she attended Arrowview Middle School. Guadalupe has been a student at Indian Springs High School since it opened and will be a member of the first graduating class in May 2015. Lupe's father, Armando, is a produce worker and her mom, Nelida, is employed by First Class Maintenance. She has four brothers, Duva, Leone!, Sandro and Junior, who are older and they all work. Two of her three sisters, Juana, and Carolina also work. Her younger sister, Jacqueline, is in the 8th grade at Arrowview Middle School. She has four pets, all dogs. A Chihuahua, Rottweiler, German shepherd and a poodle. Lupe has been active at school. Since 8th grade, she has played basketball, tennis and now spends most of her time playing band instruments. She plays the trumpet, guitar, and viola and is currently learning low brass. She is the assistant drum major and 16 the trumpet leader. She participated in the YMCA Christmas Parade and also the Dr. Martin L. King, Jr., parade in Los Angeles. Lupe is also on the SBCUSD Honor Band. She has received the Student of the Month award for band and is also the band teacher's assistant. Lupe is a music tutor in the Loma Linda program on campus and she has been involved in the cleaning of Seccombe Lake. She is a member of the Youth for Life Club and sometimes, she even helps her mother on her job. Lupe's favorite subject is math and she plans to attend San Bernardino Valley College, then transfer to California State University, San Bernardino. She plans to participate in the band on both campuses. Lupe's advice to students is, "If you have something you want to do, keep trying and don't give up".
