average is 4.8.
Sydney was born in Highland and received her academic success in San

School and San Gorgonio High School. She will graduate in May 2015.
Sydney's dad is Steve Richter who is a registered nurse at Community Hospital
of San Bernardino. Her mom, Lisa, is a student at Crafton Hills College. Her only
sibling, her brother Alec, is in the Army Reserves and also attends Riverside
Community College. She has two pets, Chloe, a mixed Pomeranian & Corgi and
Squeak, her cat.
Sydney was a student ambassador to Japan and spent two years as a member of
the California Cadet Corps. As a cadet, she volunteered her time being a part of the
color guard at football games and also volunteered to clean city parks. She is also a
member of the Harvard Model Congress, Academic Decathlon, Biology Club, Swing
(dancing) Club, and Tutors for Us (primarily tutoring students in Math). With all of
this, she still found time to participate in sports. She is on the Swim team, Water Polo
and she plays tennis.
Sydney's favorite subject is Chemistry and her career goal is to do research and
Physical Chemistry. She plans to attend Dartmouth in New Hampshire and major in
chemistry. The Advanced Placement (AP) classes she currently takes that will help
her in college are Biology, Art History, European History, Chemistry, English/
Language Arts, English/Literature, Government, U. S. History, Environmental
Science, and Calculus. Sydney wants her peers to know that no matter how difficult
the task, if you put in hard work, anything is possible.
