COMMENDING
MILO VIC TORIA'
QMNIT'RANS CEO/GENERAL MANAGER
Whereas, Milo Victoria began his 36 year career in the transportation industry with the Southern California
Rapid Transit District where he was originally hired as a mechanic and successfully rose through the ranks to the
i positions of Manager of Labor and Administration and Deputy Executive Officer. In his distinguished career, Milo
also worked with other transportation agencies such as the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation
Authority as the Deputy Executive Officer of Maintenance and Rebuild and with the Washington Metropolitan Transit
Authority(WMATA) as the Assistant General Manager; and
Whereas, Milo Victoria was named Omnitrans CEO/General Manager in January 2010; and
Whereas, under Milo Victoria's leadership Omnitrans has expanded its service to the community of San
Bernardino by sponsoring and participating in community events and projects such as:
• National Night Out
4 San Bernardino Beautification
• Route 66 Rendezvous
• I st Annual Fire&Safety Fair at Nunez Park
• Go Smart College Outreach at Cal State University San Bernardino and
San Bernardino Valley College
Computers for Community Centers and Schools
• Ruben Campos Park and Bus Station Project

NOW, THEREFORE, on this occasion, and in appreciation for his commitment and impressive contribution
to the City of San Bernardino and its citizens, we, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino, do
honor, and commend
MILO VICT OWA
for his outstanding leadership and service to the City of San Bernardino.

CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
COMMENDING
TARGET
Whereas, in 1946, the Dayton Corporation established a standard of giving 5%of its pretax profits
back to the community in order to strengthen the communities they serve; and
Whereas, the Rialto Target Distribution Center is staying true to Target's mission in helping the
local communities by creating a committee known as CARE. This committee is chaired by Danny Sandoval
and was established to foster engagement within the local community and to also provide volunteer
opportunities to those that need assistance; and

} Whereas, the committee's goal is to reach 1500 volunteer hours of community service this year
which they are well on their way to obtaining by already volunteering in local community events and
projects with organizations and schools such as:
• Mary's Mercy Center
• San Bernardino Salvation Army
• Juanita Blakely Elementary School
National Night Out
• Blankets of Love
• Cal State University 4Hprogram
• United Way Young Leadership Council
NOW, THEREFORE, on this occasion, and in appreciation for your outstanding contributions to
the City of San Bernardino and its citizens, we, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
Bernardino, do honor, and commend

Ariel Hollie is a senior at San Bernardino High School. Ariel was born in
North Hollywood, CA and attended elementary school at Foothill Baptist Church
in Sylmar, CA until she moved to San Bernardino. She completed her elementary
grades at Hunt Elementary School and then attended Del Vallejo Middle School
before enrolling at San Bernardino High School.
After Ariel's May 2012 graduation, she plans to attend either Rice
University in Texas, Grand Canyon University in Arizona or the University of
California, Berkeley and major in Bio-Chemistry and Spanish. With an academic
Grade Point Average of 4.83, Ariel Hollie is currently a candidate for
Valedictorian.
Ariel lives with her sister, Monique, who is a librarian at Thompson
Elementary School. This has been home for Ariel for most of her life. Her mother
continues to live in Sylmar, CA and her brother, Luttrell, lives in Arizona. Ariel
has seven nieces, four nephews, one great-niece and one great-nephew. She is also
fond of her two dogs, Roxie and Bandit.
Ariel's favorite classes are Spanish 5, Music Theory and Calculus. She is a
member of the National Honor Society, Mock Trial and will soon become a
member of the Spanish Honor Society. Ariel participates in the Sigma Beta Big
Sister, Big Brother Program. She also helps to take care of her nieces and nephews
and helps them with their homework. Ariel also volunteers at the library when
time permits. Ariel plays Varsity Volleyball and is a candidate for Miss Cardinal
City.
Ariel would like to leave this message to all students: "Please make the
most of your life. Even though sometimes it seems hard, just work it out to the
best of your ability and continue to strive to be the best you can be. In life, you
will make mistakes. If you can't fix it, start all over again."
