out to 11 local and area vendors, San Bernardino area Chamber of Commerce, advertised in the
San Bernardino County Sun, and advertised on the City's web site. The following are the results

an annual purchase order in the amount of$39,000 for procurement of Class "B" Uniform safety
boots and work uniforms to the Fire Department. Further, it is recommended that an annual
purchase order be issued to Allstar Fire Equipment in the amount of$35,000 for procurement of
replacement safety equipment. Both awards include the option, at the City's discretion, of
renewing the contracts annually for up to three years. Requests to renew either contract will be
brought to the Mayor and Council for approval.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The total dollar amounts as indicated above were authorized, and included in the Fire
Department 2000-2001 budget. The total amount budgeted for safety equipment and Class "B"
