October 5 , 1992 -- Mayor & Common Council authorized co-sponsorship
& waiver of personnel & equipment costs in
connection with the "Dash for D.A.R.E. " 5K Run
scheduled in conjunction with "A Taste of
Hospitality" on October 25, 1992.
Recommended motion:
That the request of the San Bernardino Police Department for
co-sponsorship & waiver of personnel and equipment costs in
connection with the "Dash for D.A.R.E. " 5K Run scheduled in
conjunction with "A Taste of Hospitality" on October 31, 1993 ,
be approved.

STAFF REPORT
On October 31, 1993 , members of the D.A.R.E. Unit at the San
Bernardino Police Department in conjunction with local businesses
and restaurants along Hospitality Line are conducting the second
annual fund raising 5 K Run event called "Dash for D.A.R.E. " .
They are asking for the City to co-sponsor the event and as such,
waive applicable personnel costs and equipment fees. These costs
include:
Police $203 . 00
3 CSR I 's and 2 CSR II 's
Public Works $1,485 (deposit)
Labor and equipment placement of 200 cones and 17
barricades
Planning &
Building $45 temporary banner permit (1 banner)
TOTAL COSTS TO BE WAIVED: $1,733
