In addition to the above, the Community Development Commission approved the re- appropriation of $200,000 in housing funds to finance enhanced and expedited building inspection and code enforcement services in the Arden-Guthrie focus neighborhood. The monies provided to the Department of Planning and Building Services totaled $506,000 in FY92/93. Because the Agency budget was adopted prior to the City's budget and contained only $293,750 for certain services and because concentrated building inspection and code enforcement services are desired as a part of the Agency's Central City Revitalization Strategy, an additional $208,250 is requested in order to fund the services at the level desired. If approved the total funding to the Planning and Building Services Department would be $502,000, or $4,000 less than the FY 92/93 total. As proposed, the building inspection and code enforcement services would be oriented away from the Arden-Guthrie focus neighborhood to the Central City Revitalization Strategy Area, although there would be a residual presence in the Arden-Guthrie area to support the Agency's designated project managers, Equity Management Service. Based upon the foregoing, staff recommends adoption of the form motion. "LIA KENNET J.
