Synopsis of Previous Council Action: Resolution 2 1 -2 allowing the August 2, 2010 Mayor and Council approved 0 0 66 g temporary reduction of certain Development Impact Fees expiring August 2, 2012. August 2, 2010 Mayor and Council approved Resolution 2010-276 allowing the temporary deferral of certain Development Impact Fees expiring August 2, 2012. August 2, 2010 Mayor and Council approved Resolution 2010-278 allowing the temporary reduction of certain Development Fees for Service expiring August 2, 2012. February, 21 2012 Mayor and Council approved Resolution 2012-34 extending the temporary reduction of Development Impact Fees and Development Fees for Service until August 2, 2014. July 21, 2014 Mayor and Council voted 4-3 to extend Development Impact Fee reductions an additional 24 months Background: On May 21, 2014, the Baldy View Chapter of the Building Industry Association(BIA) requested that the City continue the temporary fee reduction of Development Impact Fees and Fees for Service originally adopted in August 2010. At the conclusion of the discussion the Council voted 4-3 to extend the fee reduction 1 for an additional two years subject to the following modifications: 1. The fee reduction would end sooner if building permits for 150 new single-family homes were issued in a single year. 2. The fee reduction would only apply to Development Impact Fees (DIF) for new single- family homes, townhomes and condominiums. 3. The fee reduction on planning,building and land development services (Administrative Fees)would sunset on August 2, 2014. Analysis: Staff has drafted the attached resolution that confirms the actions the Mayor and Council took on July 21, 2014.
