In an effort to comply with best accounting practices and keep vendors wanting to continue doing business with the City of San Bernardino, it is important to pay the City's bills in a timely manner. This position is critical to the department in that it performs a variety of complex, responsible, highly sensitive and confidential office administrative support functions for the department and city employees. After carrying out the recruitment and interview process in search for a suitable fit, Claudia Allen was the most qualified for the department's current needs. She exhibited self-confidence, motivation, and understanding of the Senior Human Resources Technician position. Because of Claudia's qualifications and extensive Human Resources experience, Step 12 is being requested. Claudia holds significant human resources related experience in personnel and training, clerical and administrative, risk and Workers' Compensation experience, as well as having worked extensively in the overall management of employee benefits in her current employment. In fact at step 12, Claudia will be taking a pay cut to start her employment in Municipal Government with the City of San Bernardino. Claudia possesses the knowledge required to be effective and efficient, therefore, she will be an asset to the Human Resources Department and to the City.
