On April 19, 1993, the Commission, at the specific recommendation of Councilmaanurement
Maudsley, adopted amendments to the Economic b thee Commnunity Development Commission
Policy and Procedures. The changes appr oved Y
were as follows:
The purchasing agent (Agency Administrator) can enter into
purchases or contracts of less than $10,000 without notifying the
Community Development Commission or its Redevelopment
Committee.

purchased were a part of the affected fiscal year's budget. Since the amendments were
approved, it has become increasingly evident that the $10,00o limit on purchases and
contracts (without prior Committee/Commission knowledge) significantly inhibits staffs
ability to transact urgent Agency business.
