02-18-93 - Redevelopment Committee recommended that $163 ,000 be
allocated.
03-08-93 - Allocation of $163,000 approved to; finance the costs
for landscaping the median in Waterman Avenue.

Recommended Motion:
That the plans for installation of landscaping and irrigation
system, in the curbed median in Waterman Avenue, from Santa Ana
River to Mill Street, in accordance with Plan No. 8966 , be
approved; and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be
authorized to advertise for bids .

STAFF REPORT
Approval of Plans and
Authorization to
Advertise for Bids
Installation of Landscaping in
Waterman Avenue Median
Plans have been prepared by the Consultant, and the project is
ready to be advertised for bids. The project consists, in
general, of installing landscaping, an automatic irrigation
system, and hardscape improvements .
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 135, 460
Consultant' s Design Fee 7, 420
Water Meter Fees 10 ,800
Sub-Total $ 153,680
Contingencies 9, 320
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 163,000
An amount of $163 , 000 has been allocated from bond proceeds,
under Account No. 650-0201 , to finance the costs that will be
incurred for this project.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization granted
to advertise for bids.
