This request is to authorize staff to seek State Urban Forestry Grant Funds for the remaining two phases of the Baseline Area. This project will compliment the recently completed 29 new street lights from"H" street to Waterman Avenue, and the landscaping of 79 new trees and right-of-way improvements to soon be installed between"H" Street and"D" Street. Staff projects a grant request of approximately $14,000 to purchase 274 trees for both Phase II, "D" Street to Sierra, and Phase III, Sierra to Waterman Avenue, in this last year of the State Proportion 70 Urban Forestry Funds.
