10-02-95 -- Plans approved and authorization granted to adver-
tise for bids .
11-20-95 -- Resolution No. 95-421 adopted awarding a contract to
Building Energy Consultants for the low bid price of
$62 , 445 . 00 .

Recommended Motion:
That Change Order No. 2 , to the contract with Building Energy
Consultants, for upgrading the ballfield lighting at Ray
Gutierrez Park, in accordance with Plan No. 9360 , be approved to
direct the Contractor to install a new 400 amp service panel to
replace the existing 200 amp service panel, at an increase to the
contract price of $7 , 320 . 00 , from $65 , 105 $72 ,435. 00 .

Approval of Contract Change Order No. 2
Sports Lighting Upgrade
Ray Gutierrez Park
During construction of the new lighting system at Ray Gutierrez
Park, to upgrade the light levels for the little league field, it
was discovered that the existing 200 amp service panel was not
adequate for the new facilities.
The Contractor was, therefore, requested to submit a price quote
for replacing the existing service panel with a new 400 amp
service panel. A price of $7 , 320 . 00 was submitted in response to
this request.
We have reviewed this price and determined that it is fair and
reasonable for the work involved.
All costs incurred for contract Change Order No. Two will be
financed from the $89 , 948 allocated under Account No. 806-86 .

Gentlemen:
You are hereby compensated for performing the extra work as
directed by the Resident Engineer, as follows:
Provide all labor and miscellaneous materials to remove the
existing 200-Amp panel from the Ray Gutierrez Ballfield Building
and install a new 400-Amp panel that the City will provide, includ-
ing the makeup to the new SCE service, at the agreed price of
$ 7,320.00.
