STAFF REPORT
Bids for modification of the irrigation systems. on
Tippecanoe Avenue, Harry Sheppard Boulevard, and Del Rosa Drive,
within San Bernardino Trade Center and International Aiport, were
opened at 2 : 00 p.m. , Tuesday, 4-23-96 .
A total of 8 bids were received, ranging from $233 , 324 . 30
to $317 , 379 . 50 . The low bid of $233 , 324 . 30 is 14 . 7% under the
Engineer' s Estimate of $273 ,500 . 00 .
Below is an estimate of the total project cost, based upon
p the actual low bid price:
Construction Contract $ 233 , 324 . 30
Construction Inspection (W.O. #1993) 25 , 000 . 00
Sub-Total $ 258 ,324 . 30
Contingencies (15%) ± 38 , 675 . 70
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 297 , 000 . 00
All costs incurred for this project will be charged to
Account No. 242-362-5504-1993 , and billed to the grant from the
Federal Economic Development Administration and Inland Valley De-
velopment Agency.
No City funds will be used to finance any portion of this
project.
We recommend that a contract be awarded to the low bidder.
