Award of Contract
Reroofing of Fire Stations 2, 4 & 8
Bids for re-roofing Fire Stations Nos. 2 , 4 and 8 were opened at
2 : 00 p.m. , Tuesday, April 23 , 1996 .
A total of 10 bids were received, ranging from $59 , 650 . 00 to
$123 , 187 . 00 . The low bid of $59 , 650 . 00 is 3 . 8% below the Engi-
neer' s Estimate of $62 , 000 . 00 .
Below is an estimate of the total project cost, based upon the
actual low bid price:
Construction Contract $ 59 , 650 . 00
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #5018) 6 , 000 . 00
Sub-Total $ 65 , 650 . 00
Contingencies (15%) ± 9 , 850 . 00
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 75 ,500 . 00
A total amount of $90 , 000 . 00 has been allocated from 1995/96 CDBG
Funds, under Accounts No. 806-9009 , 9010 and 9011 to finance the
costs that will be incurred for this project.
We recommend that a contract be awarded to the low bidder.
