The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of the traffic signals
throughout the City. Mr. Morris previously held this position until April 1, 2009 when
the position was eliminated due to reduction in work force. At that time,Mr. Morris was E
moved to Electrician 1.
Q
In 2009,the City contracted with an outside vendor to do the preventative maintenance
on the traffic signals. On June 30,2014, the MCC re-instated the position of Traffic
Signal Technician and the City is no longer contracting for preventative maintenance
services on the traffic signals.
On July 22, 2014,the Public Works Department received Eligibility List 1207-4 for
Traffic Signal Technician I. Mr. Morris was on this list.
