Said properties have code enforcement liens in the amount of $26,120. After tabulating all the various outstanding liens, the escrow company submitted a financial demand to HUD. In turn, HUD has determined that they will not pay the City liens and are exercising a tax exempt status in this regard. They are, however, proceeding with payment of all other back taxes and monetary delinquencies. The current code enforcement process does not provide any administrative mechanism for release of city assessment liens. It has been determined that the only venue for release of these liens is to obtain an approved waiver by the Mayor and Common Council. Upon approval, staff will proceed with obtaining title to these HUD properties. Staff recommends adoption of the form motion. TIMOTHY C.
