Each project was put out to bid in August 1997, but the acceptable bids were higher than the approved budgets. San Bernardino., a non-profit community service organization, referred to as ("Subrecipient"). City and Subrecipient agree as follows: WITNESSETH Community Development Block Grant Whereas, City and Subrecipient have previously entered into agreement #96-200, dated March 17, 1997, referred to as ("Agreement"); and Whereas, City and Subrecipient desire to amend agreement to include the subrecipient's completion of School of Hope Rehabilitation; and Whereas, City desires to increase the amount Community Development Block Grant funding in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) to allow Subrecipient to complete the project. Now, therefore, in consideration of the mutual covenants herein set forth and the mutual benefits to be derived there from, the parties agree to modify the original agreement as follows: 1. Change the first sentence in Section 2 Payments City shall reimburse Subrecipient for allowable costs incurred under the scope of this Amendment and applicable Federal regulations, which have not been paid for or reimbursement will be made at least on a monthly basis, with the total of all such reimbursements not to exceed $45,000 9 7/� IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have caused Amendment to be executed as of the day and year first written above.
