Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
11/4/96 - Mayor and Common Council approved Resolution No. 96-342, amending Resolution
No. 6429, entitled in part, "A Resolution . . . establishing a basic compensation plan for officers
and/or employees of the Police and Fire Departments of the City of San Bernardino . . . "
9/2/97 and 10/6/97 - Mayor and Common Council established salaries for the Police and Fire
Departments.

Adopt resolution.

CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
On October 6, 1997, salaries were established for the following Police Department
classifications:
P-1, P-2, P-3 & LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINEE
On September 2, 1997, salaries were established for the following Police Department
classifications:
P-4, P-5, P-6 & P-7
On October 6, 1997, salaries were established for the following Fire Department classifications:
P-1, P-2/PARAMEDIC, P-3, P-4 (CAPTAIN) & P-4 (INVESTIGATOR)
On September 2, 1997, salaries were established for the following Fire Department
classifications:
P-5, P-6, P-7, FIRE MARSHAL & TRAINING OFFICER
Section Three of Resolution No. 6429 is being amended to reflect the above Council actions.
As reflected in the attached resolution, the Personnel Department was directed by the Mayor and
Common Council to amend Resolution No. 6429.
