• The Engineering Assistant I is a fully funded existing position which was
recently vacated by a departing employee. E
• The Engineering Department has recently assumed the permit issuance a
responsibilities for Public Works projects,of which more than 1600 permits were
issued in 2013. This position will be responsible for the timely processing of
these permits, as well as providing customer service to the general public relative
to engineering requirements for public works construction within the public right
of way.
• Step 18 is being requested because Mr. Hall has previously been employed by the
City of San Bernardino in this position and has extensive experience working both
