CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
SB 821 provides that 20 of TDA, Article 3 Funds be set
aside for financing bicycle and sidewalk projects. SANBAG
accepts nominations from local agencies , and allocates the
available funds on a priority basis.
A grant from Transportation Development Act (TDA) ,
Article 3 , Program Funds, was approved by SANBAG, in the amount
of $96 , 000 , to finance 80% of the total estimated project cost
for installation of bicycle lanes on Kendall Drive, from 40th
Street to Palm Avenue.
The construction has been completed, and actual final
costs determined. A claim form has been prepared for reim-
bursement of 80% of the actual final total project costs.
SANBAG requires that the governing board of the local
agency authorize submittal of the claim for reimbursement of SB
821 funds.
We recommend that authorization be granted to submit this
claim.
