Dear Ms. Cochran:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your service to
the Planning Commission.
Effective June 20, 2011, 1 will give a new person an opportunity to
serve on the Fine Arts Commission. Hopefully the high standard of service
that you have set will continue.
The hours of volunteer service you have shared with this community
and its citizens are certainly appreciated and I commend you for it. That
service has not gone unnoticed and our community is better for it.

THE SUNSET ROSARY CL SIR OF SAN BERNARDINO
ON ITS
25TH ANNIVERSARY
Whereas, the Sunset Rotary Club of San Bernardino was established on June 24, 1986 The
Sunset Rotary Club abides by the principle of "Service Above Self" to improve the lives of people both
locally and internationally;and
Whereas, on June 24, 2011 the Sunset Rotary Club of San Bernardino, also known as
"The Fun Club", will be entering its 25`h year of providing invaluable community service to the community
of San Bernardino. The Sunset Rotary Club's mission is to promote goodwill and peace through the
alleviation of hunger, disease, and suffering; and
Whereas, the Sunset Rotary Club created the first Tinman Triathlon 25 years ago as a shorter j
family friendly version of the Iron-Man Triathlon. The Tinman Triathlon includes 5k, 12 plus Mile
Bike Track and a 400-Meter Swim. Also added is a Youth Tinman Race and a Physically Challenged race
for those with physical and developmental challenges;and
Whereas, funds raised from this event directly support scholarship awards given annually to
deserving local high school students, along with a scholarship for one special athlete. The proceeds are
also used for providing food for young people who find themselves homeless, other special projects as the
need arises and of course, the eradication of Polio, the number one goal of Rotarians through-out the
world. The 2011 San Bernardino Sunset Rotary's 25`h Annual Tinman Triathlon, 5k&Kid's Triathlon will
see over 1000 athletes compete at Cal State San Bernardino on June 26th. All proceeds benefit the
San Bernardino Sunset Rotary Club and its mission to improve lives both locally and internationally; and
Now, therefore, on this occasion, and in appreciation for their outstanding leadership, dedication
and impressive contribution to the City of San Bernardino and its citizens, we, on behalf of the Mayor and
Common Council of the City of San Bernardino, do enjoin, commend, and congratulate
