Motion: Elect a delegate and alternate for the Southern California Association of
Governments 49th Annual Regional Conference and General Assembly.
110 Background:
The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG)'s 491h Annual Regional
Conference and General Assembly, "Partnering for Prosperity: Technology's Impact on Mobility
and Opportunity,"will be held May 1-2, 2014 at the Renaissance Esmeralda Indian Wells Resort
and Spa in Indian Wells, California.
Each year, SCAG's member cities select a Delegate and/or Alternate to represent their city to
participate at this Annual Meeting. Registered Delegates/Alternates will receive a complimentary
one night stay at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort& Spa on May 1, 2014. In addition, there is
no registration charge for all elected officials and the City Manager. Registration cost for all
others is $250.
The General Assembly meets once a year and it is the only meeting of SCAG's entire
membership. After the General Assembly takes care of business matters,rest of the Conference
will explore how rapidly emerging technologies may revolutionize the way we presently think
about moving people and goods and will feature panels on technology,transportation,job
growth, and economic recovery. The full agenda for the conference will be forwarded to the
Delegate/alternate that the MCC chooses to represent the City of San Bernardino.
The SCAG Delegate and/or Alternates are required to submit FPPC Form 700, Statement of
Economic Interests, to the SCAG office prior to the meeting.

on Thursday, May 15Y at 9:15 a.m. As a GA Delegate, you are welcome to attend 0
the Regional Council meeting. However, if you are not a member of the Regional
Council, you should not cast a vote on matters which come before the Regional
Council.
