GUADALUPE TRUJILLO
Student of the Month
Pacific High School — Senior
Guadalupe Trujillo was born in San Bernardino where she has spent her
entire life. She attended E. Neal Roberts Elementary School, Arrow-view
Middle School and Pacific High School. She will graduate May 2014 with a
Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.2.
Guadalupe's parents are Jose and Maria Trujillo. She has two brothers
and she is the youngest child. Her brother, Juan, is a student at San
Bernardino Valley College and is working two jobs. Her brother, Frank, is
happily married and has two sons, Francisco, age five, and Daniel, age two.
He is a manager at Auto Zone. She is very proud to have a pet dog named
Fluffy.
Guadalupe is very active in school. She is vice president of the French
Club, Treasurer of the Latino Student Union and also treasurer of the A Team
which is a club for the Academic Decathlon. In addition to being on the
Academic Decathlon Team (ADT), she is an AVID (Advancement Via
Individual Determination) student and also a member of the Key Club, a
youth group that is sponsored by Kiwanis. She placed second overall for
interview for ADT.
Guadalupe enjoys school and feels that she learns something new every
day. Her favorite subject is history. go
Although Guadalupe does not participate in team sports, she does run 40
three miles daily. She was a volunteer for Mayor Davis' campaign and what
she enjoyed most was meeting and learning about people in this city, learning
about the city and also learning about her own capabilities.
Guadalupe has already been accepted at the University of California,
Santa Barbara, and will double major in history and political science.
Guadalupe wants all students in the district to know how important it is
to be honest with yourself and don't cheat or take from others. Let integrity
be your guiding force because you will only know who you are when you do
things on your own.
