Justification/Reason for Request
According to the City's Pre-Pendency Plan, Police Department sworn staffing has been
established at 260 funded positions. As of today's date, actual staffing has fallen to 243 with a
several more resignations expected soon. Hiring must occur in order to replenish staffing of
sworn officers. This candidate is recommended to fill one of those budgeted positions that are
