She attended Wilson and Hunt Elementary Schools, Del Vallejo and Rodriquez Prep Hi Middle School. She began her high school career at Cajon High School but enrolled at Middle College High School in the tenth grade. Stephanie's Dad, Carlos Mora, is a mechanic at Anita's Mexican Food and her mom, Susana Garcia works in the quality control center at the same place. Her sister, Ana, is a student at Middle College High School; her brother, Brian, attends Norton Elementary School; and her little sister, Mia, is not in school yet. She has three Chihuahuas: Toby, Comet and Lucy. Stephanie is active in school and in the community. While at Cajon, she was on the Water Polo team but was not able to continue due to limited transportation. Her involvement at Middle College High School is important to her because she enjoys giving back to the school that provides her with many opportunities. She is currently the Secretary for ASB (Associated Student Body). She is also a member of the Debate Club and the Upcycling Club (this club recycles clothes and does exchanges at school. For example, an old sweater can be used to make beanies). Stephanie is also a member of Peer Leaders (they mentor new students in academics and help build student connections). She is also a member of the Upper Classmen Focus Group where she makes her ideas heard and works on the improvement of her school. Stephanie worked as an office intern last summer at her high school through the ASTERISK Program. She currently volunteers at Richardson Prep Hi Middle School, helping students with their homework. She is waiting for approval from San Bernardino Valley College to begin volunteering at the Chemistry Lab. She attends Our Lady of Guadalupe where she also volunteers as an overseer for young attenders. She also works with other church members to make sure those in need get assistance from others. Stephanie would like a school environment where all students would have a positive attitude when it comes to getting an education. Her message to students is, "If you have problems, try solving them yourself and never say no. Learn to make your problems into challenges waiting to be surpassed. No amount of barriers should stop you from getting what you want in life. Work hard to make your dreams come true". Stephanie will not only receive her high school diploma in May 2014, she will also receive her AA degree from San Bernardino Valley College. Her AA degree emphasis will be in Biological and Physical Sciences, Humanities and Fine Arts, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. She currently has a 4.64 weighted and a 3.93 unweighted GPA (Grade Point Average). She was awarded with a Certificate of Recognition from Valley College for her Outstanding Academic Achievements. She is in the top 5 percent of her graduating class. Every semester she takes as many classes as possible both at the high school and the college and is awarded for having Highest Honors at all times. She has already visited and plans to attend University of California, Berkeley where she will pursue a Chemical Engineering Major.
