BRIAN GA BAY
Student of the Month
San Bernardino High School — Senior- — — - -
October 21, 2013
Brian Garibay is a senior at San Bernardino High School. He will
graduate May 2014 and currently has a 4.26 GPA (Grade Point Average). He is
currently enrolled in all AP (Advanced Placement) classes. Brian was born at
Community Hospital of San Bernardino and has spent his entire life in this city.
Brian also attended Marshall Elementary School and Arrowview Middle School.
Brian finds time to get involved with extracurricular activities on his
campus. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Thespian Society,
Associated Student Body and Theater. Brian has been a part of six theatrical
productions with his favorite performing in the musical, "Little Shop of
Horrors". Brian has been an International Thespian Officer candidate for
Region One which includes twelve states, New Zealand, and the Western Pacific
Islands. He was one of three finalists who attended the event in Nebraska. Brian
also attended a 3-day Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Camp where he learned
many skills.
Brian has earned over 800 volunteer hours which include working for
CAPS (Creative After School Programs), Marshall Elementary school and he is a
technician volunteer at his school. Brian is also an usher at the California
Theater.
Brian's favorite subject in school is Science; however, he plans to attend
California State University, Fullerton, and major in Business. Brian hopes to
find a way to motivate students to make better choices. His message to students
is to never stop learning because knowledge is power. Brian believes that you
can get anywhere you want to in life with hard work and by staying positive.
