(#2648) Current Business Registration Certificate: Not Applicable Financial Impact: Budget amendment in the amount of$95,000. Motion: Adopt the Resolution. Synopsis of Previous Council Action: None. Background: The Public Works Department consists of four divisions - Engineering, Fleet, Integrated Waste Management, and Operations & Maintenance. The Administrative Analyst II position assists the various divisions with Council Actions, planning, finance, budgeting, CIP, Sewer Master Plan, and IWM & Sewer rates. In May 2012 the position was left vacant and was occupied with a Higher Acting Staff person. The Higher Acting employee accepted another position within the City and departed Public Works May 2013. When adjustments to the budget were made in February 2013, the Public Works Department was notified the "vacant" Administrative Analyst II position was un-funded. This position is vital to the operation of the Public Works Department and provides a liaison between Public Works, Finance, City Clerk, and a variety of departments.
