Financial Impact:
There is no financial impact to establish the position.
Motion: Add one (1) Senior Customer Service Representative/Dispatcher, full-time,
position to the Public Works Department;
Delete one (1) Senior Customer Services Representative/Dispatcher, part-time,
position within the Public Works Department;
Authorize the Human Resources Division Manager to update Resolution No. 97-
244 to reflect these actions; and
Authorize the Director of Administrative Services to amend the FY 2013/14
budget to reflect these actions.
Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
On June 27, 2013, the Personnel Committee meeting was cancelled; however, the Chairman
recommended that the proposed items be forwarded to Mayor and Common Council for
approval/adoption.
Background:
This position is within the Public Works Department and was filled in a part-time capacity. The
Department requested that the position be upgraded to full-time, which was approved on August
5, 2013; however,the formalization of"deleting" one (1) part-time position and"adding" one (1)
full-time position was inadvertently omitted from the formal motion. Therefore, this item is,
again, brought before the Mayor and Common Council for formal acceptance to complete the
process.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

8 SECTION 1. The position of One (1) Senior Customer Service
9 Representative/Dispatcher, full-time, is hereby added to the Public Works Department.
10 SECTION 2. The position of One (1) Senior Customer Service
11 Representative/Dispatcher,part-time, is hereby deleted from the Public Works Department.

13 SECTION 3. The Human Resources Division Manager is hereby authorized to update
14 Resolution No. 97-244 to reflect these actions.
15 SECTION 4. The Director of Administrative Services is hereby authorized to amend
16 the FY2013/14 budget to reflect these actions.
