Synopsis of Previous Council Action: August 16, 2010 -Approval of Resolution#2010-278 Background: On August 16, 2010 the Mayor and Common Council approved the Police Services Agreement with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians (SMBMI) (Attachment 1). SMBMI agreed to fund San Bernardino Police Department for police services,traffic enforcement of special events, and crossing guard services in the residential areas surrounding SMBMI Casino for fiscal years 2010/2011 through 2012/2013. The SMBMI and the San Bernardino Police Dept have negotiated Agreement Amendment No. 1 (Exhibit A)removing the crossing guard services and associated funding. The Amended Agreement includes a new proposed budget(Attachment 2)to reflect the current personnel costs and elimination of the crossing guard services funding. The Amended Agreement extends the term of the agreement for three (3) fiscal years; FY 2013/2014 through FY 2015/2016.
