Synopsis of Previous Council Action: On January 4, 2010, the Mayor and Common Council authorized the City Attorney to enter into a three-year contract with Thompson-West for on-line legal research services. Background: The City Attorney's Office utilizes Westlaw on-line legal research services for most of its research needs. Our last contract expired on December 31, 2012 and we have been on a month- to month status with Thompson West. By entering into a new contract, we will be able to lock in our rate for the first year and cap any increase at 3% for the next two contract years. This service is essential for our office to operate on a daily basis.
