Recruitment efforts to fill this position did not reveal a suitable replacement. In August 2012, as a result of a workforce reduction at the Police Department, Debi Shuker's position as Personnel & Training Manager was eliminated. Debi Shuker had the option to bump another employee but instead accepted the position as interim Animal Control Manager pending another recruitment effort. Following the most recent testing, Debi Shuker was named to best suited candidate for Animal Control Manager.
