Staff Report
Subject:
Amendment of City of San Bernardino Municipal Code to delete Title 2, Chapters 2.77
(Facilities Management Department) and 2.80 (Animal Control Department).
Background:
As part of implementing the reorganization of some City departments as proposed by the City
Manager and approved by the Mayor and Common Council, it is necessary to make further
revisions to the City of San Bernardino Municipal Code. Title 2, Chapters 2.77 (Facilities
Management Department) and 2.80(Animal Control Department), are to be deleted.
Effective July 1, 2010, the services that were provided by the Facilities Management Department
will be incorporated into three departments: Information Technology,Police Department, and
Public Works;Animal Control functions will be part of the Police Department.
The deletion of these two (2) departments requires amendments to the City of San Bernardino
Municipal Code, Title 2, Chapters 2.77 and 2.80.
Financial Impact:
There will be no financial impact to the City's budget.
Recommendations:
1) That said Ordinance be laid over for final adoption.
2) Direct staff to make any additional corresponding changes to the City of San Bernardino
Municipal Code.

SECTION 1. San Bernardino Municipal Code Chapter 2.77 is to be deleted in its

entirety.

SECTION 2. San Berardino Municipal Code Chapter 2.80 is to be deleted in its

entirety.
