Waste Services and Extend Purchase Order 2013-00001195 Up to and Including
January 22 2013.
Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
On December 17, 2012,the Mayor and Common Council approved the substance of the waste
hauling agreements with Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. And Republic Services of Southern
California, LLC, directed the City Attorney and City Manager to bring back contracts on January
7,2013, and issued two purchase orders.
Background:
On December 7,2012,the Mayor and Common Council approved the substance of the waste
agreements with Burrtec and Republic and directed the City Attorney and the City Manager to
draft and bring back contracts on January 7,2013.
Due to several issues including the holidays and unavailability of key personnel,the parties
require additional time to review and negotiate the final contracts. It is anticipated that all
reviews will be completed prior to the next Council Meeting on January 22,2013.
