Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
6/30/10 The Council approved a motion that the proposed Charter change to make
the positions of City Attorney, City Clerk, and City Treasurer appointed
positions be placed on the November 2, 2010 Statewide Consolidated
Election ballot.
Recommended Motion:
That the City Clerk be authorized to retain outside legal counsel for the preparation of
documents required to place a ballot measure on the November 2, 2010 ballot
pertaining to a charter amendment to change the offices of City Attorney, City Clerk,
and City Treasurer from elected offices to appointed offices.
