HomeMy WebLinkAbout2012-247 1 RESOLUTION NO., 7017-747 2 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY 3 OF SAN BERNARDINO REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 92-264 RELATIVE TO 4 THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CENTRAL AVENUE, NOW KNOWN AS PALM MEADOWS DRIVE, EAST OF TIPPECANOE AVENUE. 5 WHEREAS, on July 20, 1992, the Mayor and Common Council adopted Resolution 6 No. 92-264, attached and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A", determining that Central 7 8 Avenue, east of Tippecanoe Avenue, now known as Palm Meadows Drive, as depicted on the 9 map attached and incorporated herein as Exhibit "B", was not then needed for vehicular 10 access and allowing for the temporary closure thereof; and 11 WHEREAS, based on present and proposed developments in this area along this 12 portion of Palm Meadows Drive, full public and vehicular access is now necessary to said 13 14 developments; 15 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 16 17 SECTION 1. Resolution No. 92-264, entitled: 18 "RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DETERMINING THAT CENTRAL AVENUE, EAST OF TIPPECANOE AVENUE, IS NOT PRESENTLY 19 NEEDED FOR VEHICULAR ACCESS." 20 is hereby repealed, effective on the date of adoption of this Resolution. 21 /// 22 23 /// 24 25 26 27 28 2012-247 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO 1 REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 92-264 RELATIVE TO THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CENTRAL AVENUE, NOW KNOWN AS PALM MEADOWS DRIVE, EAST OF TIPPECANOE 2 AVENUE. 3 4 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the Mayor 5 and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a joint regular meeting 6 thereof, held on the 1st day of October , 2012, by the following vote, to wit: 7 8 Council Members: AYES NAYS ABSTAIN ABSENT 9 MARQUEZ x 10 JENKINS x 11 VALDIVIA 12 13 SHORETT x 14 KELLEY x 15 JOHNSON x 16 MCCAMMACK x 17 18 - Geor ann Ha , City Clerk 19 20 The foregoing Resolution is hereby approved this �44 day of October , 2012. 21 22 `"• it J. PENMAN, 25 City Attorney 26 By: ,GPfrks-447 27 28 2012-247 EXHIBIT "A" 1 RESOLUTION NO. 92-264 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DETERMINING THAT CENTRAL AVENUE, EAST OF TIPPECANOE AVENUE, IS NOT PRESENTLY 3 NEEDED FOR VEHICULAR ACCESS. 4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS; 5 SECTION 1. The referred street does not presently serve 6 any development. 7 SECTION 2. Based on a traffic engineering study, the 8 streets are not needed for vehicular access and closure is 9 permissible per Vehicle Code Section 21101 (a) with appropriate 10 findings by the Legislative Body. 11 SECTION 3. The street shall be closed as shown on the 12 maps attached until such time as development necessitates 13 vehicular access.
