COMMISSION MEETING AGENDA K:AGENDA.COM.I Meeting Date: May 24, 1993 Agenda Item Number: O Main Street— - San Bernardino Downtown Main Street, Inc. 290 North "D° Street, Suite 602 San Bernardino, CA 92401 (909) 381.5037 STAFF REPORT Main Street and EDA worked with the Environmental Health Department to meet all of the requirements to allow food vending on Court Street Square. Building a permanent kitchen became cost prohibitive, so the decision was made to use a concession trailer to provide a food facility that will be managed by Main Street and rented out to other community groups. The Health Permit for a concession trailer is issued for a twenty— one day period; however, the Health Department will issue a yearly permit upon the adoption of Cthis resolution. C ABH J © 0 i RESOLUTION NO. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING MARKET NIGHT, ITINERANT VENDORS, 3 ENTERTAINMENT AND OTHER EVENTS ON COURT STREET SQUARE AS SCHEDULED BY SAN BERNARDINO MAIN STREET 4 WHEREAS, San Bernardino Main Street, Inc. has developed 5 Court Street Square at the corner of Court Street and E Street in 6 San Bernardino as part of its downtown revitalization program, and 7 WHEREAS, Court Street Square provides a great gathering 8 place for activities and events in the downtown area, 9 WHEREAS, it is anticipated that Court Street Square will be 10 the center piece around which future downtown growth and 11 development will occur. 12 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common 13 Council of the City of San Bernardino do hereby authorize the use 14 of Court Street Square for market night, entertainment, itinerant 15 vendors and other events and activities all as scheduled and 16 authorized by San Bernardino Main Street, Inc, subject to the 17 legally required authorizations, permits and entitlements. 18 / / / 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 -I- 1 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING MARKET NIGHT, ITINERANT VENDORS, 2 ENTERTAINMENT AND OTHER EVENTS ON COURT STREET SQUARE AS SCHEDULED BY SAN BERNARDINO MAIN STREET 3 4 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly 5 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City Of San Bernardino at a meeting thereof, held on the 6 day of 1993, by the following vote, to wit: 7 Council Members: AYES NAYS ABSTAIN ABSENT 8 ESTRADA 9 REILLY 10 HERNANDEZ 11 MAUDSLEY 12 MINOR 13 POPE-LUDLAM 14 MILLER 15 16 17 City Clerk 18 The foregoing resolution is hereby approved this day of 1993. 19 20 w.
