A total of 6 bids were received, ranging from $4, 359. 00 to $7, 189.66. The low bid of $4,359. 00 is 48. 4% under the Engi- neer' s Estimate of $8, 443. 00. Below is an estimate of the total annual cost for pro- f viding these landscape maintenance services, from 7•-1-93 to 6-30- 94 . I Maintenance Contract $ 4, 359. 00 Incidental Costs (Assessment engineering, publishing and recording fees, inspection by Dept. of Parks & Recreation, Administrative Fees, advertising for bids, water and electric bills) 5, 133. 00 TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL COSTS $ 9,492.00 Funds to finance the contract cost will be reimbursed through assessments on the parcels within Assessment District No. 982. N e in z O N O 4 N m h I I .-i .-r ..� . .r .r Z U D h W c m v © p 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A CONTRACT TO TREES UNLIMITED FOR MAINTENANCE OF LANDSCAPING IN 3 ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 982 . 4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 5 6 SECTION 1. Trees Unlimited is the lowest responsible 7 bidder for: Maintenance of Landscaping in Assessment District 8 No. 982, per Plan No. 7384 (1993-94) . A contract is awarded 9 accordingly to said bidder for the total amount of $4 , 359 . 00 , but 10 such award shall be effective only upon the contract being fully it executed by both parties. All other bids, therefore, are hereby 12 rejected. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute 13 said contract on behalf of the City; a copy of the contract is on 14 file in the office of the City Clerk and incorporated herein by 15 reference as fully as though set forth at length. 16 SECTION 2. This contract and any amendment or modifica- 17 tions thereto shall not take effect or become operative until 18 fully signed and executed by the parties and no party shall be 19 obligated hereunder until the time of such full execution. No 20 oral agreements, amendments, modifications or waivers are 21 intended or authorized and shall not be implied from any act or 22 course of conduct of any party. 23 SECTION 3.
