04-06-92 -- Resolution No. 92-121 adopted authorizing execution of
an Agreement with ASL Consulting Engineers for
professional design services.
03-22-93 ---- Negative Declaration for Project No. 92-03 adopted.
June, 1993 - Supplemental funding in the amount of $600 ,000
approved in 1993/94 Gas Tax Fund Budget.
Recommended motion:
That the plans for widening the Kendall Drive and Cajon
Boulevard bridges over Devil' s Creek Channel, in accordance with
Plan No. 8813, be approved; and the Director of Public
Works/City Engineer be authorized to advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans for widening the Kendall Drive and Cajon Boulevard
bridges, over the Devil ' s Canyon Channel , have been prepared by a
consulting engineer, and the project is ready to be advertised
for bids . The project consists, in general , of a Basic Bid for
widening the Kendall Drive Bridge to match the approach roadways.
Additive Alternate "A" will be included in the contract documents
for widening the Cajon Boulevard Bridges.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:

Consultant' s Design Fee 144 , 082
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. 41968) 41 , 918
Sub-Total $ 631 , 030
Contingencies (108) ± 63, 970
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST ; 695,000
The estimated contract cost for Additive Alternate "A" is
$301, 802 . A total amount of $800 ,000 has been allocated, under
Accounts No. 126-356-57839 and 129-309-57839 , to finance the
costs that will be incurred for this project. Additive Alternate
"A" will be included in the contract award, if sufficient funds
are available.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids .
